About Us

Learn the story of Gantt Aviation, a pioneer in the aviation industry.  Our legacy of integrity, trust, and expertise continues.

A Reputation Built on Trust

Trust has always been the foundation of our business. It shows in the fact that the vast majority of our clients say they’d choose to work with us again. That kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident; it comes from doing things the right way, every time.

Gantt Aviation was founded in Georgetown, Texas in 1971. Back then, the idea was simple: treat people with respect and provide a level of service that makes buying or selling an aircraft less complicated, not more. Over the years, that approach turned a small, family-owned business into a highly recognized name within the aviation industry.

We’ve specialized in corporate and private aircraft sales and acquisitions for decades, building a reputation for integrity and a full-service approach that covers every step of the process. As one of the founding members of what is now known as the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA), we’ve helped shape the standards our industry follows today.

Our work has taken us across the globe and into long-term partnerships with clients who value relationships over transactions. We’re not in this business for quick wins; we’re here to build trust that lasts.

Many brokers can talk numbers. Fewer can say they’ve sat in the left seat of a jet, managed a maintenance schedule, or overseen an aircraft through years of ownership. Our team has. We know what it feels like to operate and care for an aircraft because we’ve lived it ourselves. That kind of firsthand experience gives us a perspective you won’t find everywhere else.

In Memory of Johnny Gantt

Our founder, Johnny Gantt, was more than a businessman.  He was a pilot, a mentor, and a true pioneer in aircraft resale. Johnny saw possibilities in the industry that others didn’t and worked tirelessly to raise the bar for professionalism and ethics. He believed in relationships, not just deals, and his passion for aviation was contagious.  Johnny’s influence is still felt today. The Georgetown Municipal Airport now carries his name, a lasting tribute to his vision and impact. More importantly, the values he stood for – integrity, respect, and dedication – continue to guide every decision we make at Gantt Aviation.
